Location and size
The State of Arizona is a state located in the southwestern region of the United States. The capital and largest city is Phoenix. The second largest city is Tucson, followed in size by the four Phoenix metropolitan area cities of Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, and Scottsdale.
Arizona Elk Hunting
Arizona Elk Hunting boasts the best elk hunts in the world. No other state can compare to the trophy records that Arizona has. All Arizona Elk hunting is draw only. The rut is in September. You must be in good physical shape, and be prepared for changing weather.

Arizona Duck Hunting
Arizona Duck Hunting is unlike anywhere else in the world. Hunting in Arizona will take you from the saguaros of the Sonaran desert. No where else will you find such diverse hunting. Hunts will occur on small stock ponds, creeks, rivers, and even on large reservoirs. Whether the hunt needs a boat or a long walk, Desert Wings Guide Service will get you to where the birds are. Arizona Duck Hunting can be one of the most memorable hunting trips.
The use of your own hunting dog is permitted. Please inform in advance if you plan to use your own dog. Dogs that bark, break, or can not sit still in the blind will NOT be tolerated. If you have any question of your dog’s ability, it should not be in the field.
Arizona Quail Hunting
Arizona Quail Hunting consists of a morning hunt. Most hunts will occur around the Phoenix area. Bird numbers are high this year due to our monsoon rains.
Everywhere in the country there are different types of birds from waterfowl like ducks and geese to turkeys, quail, pheasant, dove and more. In fact, bird hunting of these different avian species is quite popular and for the uninitiated, you should know that a hunting license or permit issued from your state is required to legally bag these birds. Seasoned hunters often train and bring bird dogs along when hunting as they will help with the spotting of these feathered creatures to even the odds of shooting them. The extra moisture helped the hatch. It is not uncommon to flush a covey of 50 or more. Arizona Quail Hunting will require you to be in good shape. Long walks through and over rough country is to be expected. Other than the walking, the toughest thing to do is pick just one bird to put your bead on! Four hunters maximum for a hunt. Arizona Turkey Hunting is probably the most challenging specie to hunt in Arizona. Typically they are found in wooded areas above 6,000 feet. There is a archery over the counter tag that is available during the fall, and you must put in for the Arizona draw to pull a spring turkey tag.
Arizona has two turkey seasons, one in the fall and another in the spring. The limit is one turkey per year, so if you kill a turkey during the spring hunt you can not legally hunt during the fall season.
Shock calling and locater calls are the main ways of finding the birds during the spring. Once the birds are located everything in our arsenal will be utilized to bring that weary tom in the last few feet.
